Extended Deadline - CONTEST NOW CLOSED

A Wander In The Woods takes your students' imaginations on an adventure, whether you can do that outside or set the scene in your classroom.

Winter is a wonderful time in the woods! Your students' mini sagas (a story told in just 100 words) can be inspired by nature or they could retell a fairy tale with a twist. Perhaps a school or camping trip would make a fantastic recount and, of course, there's the good old ghost story to give us chills on dark and stormy days!

If you go down to the woods today you're in for... an amazing lesson!

Rules

  • Only one entry per student, there is no limit to the number of entries per school.

  • Where possible, the teacher is to send/upload/email all their students' entries to us.

  • Mini sagas can be on the entry form or a sheet of paper or typed.

  • Mini sagas must be your students' own work.

  • Ensure that all students include their name and age on their entries.

  • Mini sagas must be told in no more than 100 words (the title isn't included in this).

  • Story starters are optional but must be included in your students' word count if they use one.

  • Independent entries are welcome - please provide your home address details instead of the school's.

  • Independent entries are still eligible for student prizes.
